Comey for years: The FBI was perfect when I was in charge! Trump is just mad because he's getting impeached!
Comey shortly after the IG report was released about how badly the FBI fucked up in regards to FISA courts: This report vindicates me!!!
After days of everyone (well except Seran because he gets his news from Comey apparently), even MSNBC and CNN hosts, of saying the report does anything but vindicate Comey and the FBI: Okay, I guess the FBI did fuck up and since I was in charge I'm partly to blame.

“I’m certainly willing to admit that the inspector general found serious abuses of FISA that I was unaware of,” Schiff said on Fox News Sunday.
Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz found more than a dozen examples of information top law enforcement officials failed to share or misrepresented with the court when seeking a warrant to investigate whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to influence the 2016 election. He also found, however, that no political bias against Trump motivated the effort.
Schiff, who for months has defended the FBI, said his previous statements regarding the legitimacy of the FBI investigation that culminated with special counsel Robert Mueller's report were made given the facts he had at the time.
“I think it’s only fair to judge what we knew at the time, not what would be revealed two years later," Schiff said. "But yes, there were very serious abuses of the FISA process. They need to be corrected. We need to make sure they never happen again."

Yeah, by prosecuting the people who did it, and prosecuting Schiff for lying about it multiple times to the american public and media. He's in MAJOR CYA mode now, cause it SHOULD all come out under oath from him when he's called in the senate. But he won't be, repubs are already back peddling.

This is the same fucker who for over 2 years said he had super duper secret information that proved without a doubt that Trump colluded with Russia and he kept promising to share the information then as soon as Mueller’s report dropped and found no collusion he was all like “oh I was just kidding! So now about Ukraine...”

And the media and their lapdogs like Back and Seran went right along with his shit every step of the way.

Things would be so much less confusing if separate lines of inquiry and impeachment were followed. If Schiff, or any other elected official, committed a crime that process still works.

What doesn't help is being in a process with charge for one party, and that party's defense primarily being 'but look at all the bad stuff THIS guy did'. That's more a deflection than a defense. Sadly, if there are specific charges for the other party, they are not properly investigated and summarized as charges during a he-did / she-did deflection-based defense.

Keeping them separate would reduce confusion and help ensure true justice is served.

This is legit one of the funniest things I've seen in a while.

Who would have thought that a so called news company that pays people on a per article basis would have no desire to hire those people as full time employees if the government forced them to?
