Not that refunds are accurate for determining if a person got more or less back in a single tax year (you'd know that if you knew anything about taxes), but hey... per the IRS, 300K more people got refunds this year that last year, day to day.
Oh, refund amount slipped a hair, but 300K more people. Since I actually work in the industry, I also know that the people who got more back, are low income folks. EIC taxpayers, HOH, under 90K, etc. 12/24K standard deduction helps a ton of people.
