Everything the grand jury did was sealed yesterday. Today people were filing FOIA requests with the police to see their files/investigation on the matter and a judge put a stop to it almost immediately.

This is anything but normal behavior at this point. Everything points to a massive cover up now. It's almost as if this never happened, which is strange because Jussie still maintains he was attacked by two racist Trump supporters shouting MAGA country, why is he okay with this all being swept under the rug?

Has anybody posted this yet? Yes, it's CNN, but it's biased FOR Androidpk's standpoint, which makes it even worse for his lone sticking point yesterday.

In a surprise hearing Tuesday, Joe Magats, the first assistant state's attorney in Cook County, Illinois, announced he decided to drop charges against Smollett. The stunning reversal 18 days after a grand jury indicted the "Empire" actor on felony disorderly conduct outraged the Chicago mayor and police department.
The decision to drop the charges does not mean the actor was innocent or any new evidence was presented, Magats told CNN affiliate WLS.
"We believe he did what he was charged with doing," he said. "This was not an exoneration. To say he was exonerated by us or anyone else is not true."

Now it makes sense why Foxx's office (the AG who supposedly recused herself) released the statement about the charges being dropped. Foxx didn't recuse herself in the legal sense, because if she had then state law would have mandated a special prosecutor take over the case. Instead it was more of an informal "recusal" so her office could still be the ones making decisions about the case.

This is just so blatant now. But something tells me no one will be fired, no one will be forced to resign, and no one will even be charged with a crime. The mafia didn't disappear from Chicago, they just became politicians.

The fuck? He thinks the prosecutors show fake hyped up evidence to the grand jury then when it's time for the actual trial they go "Hey hey hey, we were just kidding. Here's the real evidence!"

The DA's office saying they give people deferred prosecutions like they did for Smollett all the time.

Here is a chart a local news station put together for people in similar situations to Smollett recently:

Look at that. The ones that have been resolved already all had to plead guilty, were given sentences, and were given criminal records. They were also only facing 1 felony county.

Smollett meanwhile was facing 16 felony counts, took only 33 days to resolve the case, he didn't have to plead guilty, he wasn't given a criminal record, and he wasn't really given a sentence. Having to forfeit his bail hardly counts as a "sentence."

That is some bullshit. Maybe some of those people on that list will file a lawsuit about the bullshit. Some of them can no longer own a firearm, but at least Jussie can!
    Semper superne nitens.
