A Democrat state lawmaker in Maryland apparently referred to a majority black district in the state as a n***** district. Even though she was removed from a leadership position on a committee she was on it seems most Democrats are ready to forgive her.
Why does it seem like Democrats keep getting away with basically a slap on the wrist when they are blatantly racist? Weird how that works.

Damn. She said it in front of her black colleague to. Then tried justifying it by saying everyone's used that phrase before.
Vote her out if she doesn't resign.

To be fair she didn't try to justify it by saying everyone has used that word, she was asked to comment on what she said and she claims she didn't remember saying it. Then she was asked if she had ever used that word and she said she was sure she has because everyone has used that word before.
Sounds like she's going for the "I don't recall saying that...but I'm sure I've used that word before" defense in case it comes out that there are more instances of her using that word before.
But yeah, she said it to one white colleague with at least 1 black colleague around who heard her say it. Not a good look.
