This is why I can't stop laughing at the corner Democrats have painted themselves into. They couldn't stop mentioning DOCTOR Ford to drive home the point that she is a highly educated woman. Same thing goes for Fairfax's accuser, she too is a highly educated woman and not just some random nobody he knew back in high school. Only real difference is Ford's accusations were back when they were all indeed in high school, not to mention she couldn't produce a date, time, or place.
Fairfax's accuser can name a date, time, and place and it was relatively recently (compared to Ford at least). I think this is why he went the "it was consensual!" route because he knew with it being so relatively recently that she could probably prove he was at the place on the time and date she said it happened on. Kavanaugh never had any such luxury, he had to basically defend his entire existence.

I'm always suspect about that too. I do believe something did happen to Ford. I also think that it wasn't Kavanaugh that did it.
This is just... I mean, he admit he had sexual contact with her, he says it was consensual. She says it wasn't. It is still a he said/she said, but this time both sides agree they had sexual contact. Still a who are you going to believe and this one is a lot trickier. One of them is a liar.

From what I understand this story came to light while Fairfax was running for Lt Governor, which to my knowledge was Fairfax's first election. The story didn't go anywhere because places like the Washington Post had an agenda and didn't want to follow up with the story against a Democrat.
Dr. Tyson, which is Fairfax's accuser, was going to just let it go until the possibility of him becoming governor started to become a reality and that's when another news organization (not Washington Post of course) decided to run the story which was based on a social media post by Tyson that a friend of Tyson's shared with said news organization. Tyson was still pretty much keeping the story to herself and didn't even come out as the named accuser until Fairfax started a smear campaign against her and started lying about her, according to Tyson that is. That is when Tyson decided to come out as the accuser and tell her story in detail.
In other words had Washington Post done their job originally this would have been brought up before Fairfax's election. Had Northam not been a racist piece of shit this story still would not have seen the light of day. Had Fairfax just said "That never happened" and didn't try to attack his alleged victim Dr. Tyson would have kept quiet.
While the similarities between Ford and Tyson are great, Tyson's motives seem a lot more pure on the surface at least.
Tyson came out with her allegation only when Fairfax started to get into politics, and then only pursued the matter further when it looked like he was going to get a promotion after just a few months on the job and after he started bad mouthing her. Tyson is also a Democrat.
Ford kept quiet about the whole thing even while Kavanaugh worked his way up the judicial ladder, only coming out with the allegation when Kavanaugh was nominated for a supreme court seat with only a few months away from an election, meaning if he lost his nomination there was no time to confirm someone else so the next senate would vote for the next seat, possibly a Democrat senate. Not to mention Ford kept trying to stretch this thing out as much as possible, further showing she was trying to push this confirmation into the next senate. Remember at first she didn't want to be grilled by white men on the senate, then she wanted to speak to the senate in person, then she was afraid to fly, then she kept asking to push back the hearing for a week or two. There is no such ticking clock here for Fairfax, Lt Gov is an elected position every 4 years, not a lifetime appointment that requires a senate confirmation.
Ford is also a Democrat.
Ford's actions looked completely political in nature by the timing and everything. Tyson's actions don't look political at all. Had Washington Post done their jobs the first time this would have been like any other person running for office who has sexual assault/rape allegations lobbed against them while running.
