See? It's like an updated Godwin's Law; the longer a political discussion goes on the more likely someone will mention "Orange man bad", "MAH RUSSIA!" or some form of word with "ist" at the end.

Although when Godwin's law was invented they expected it to take days or even weeks before someone mentioned Nazis, in this case it usually just takes minutes.

I am guessing this is hyperbole. Maybe I am missing your point. Forbes and ABC news didn't even mention tariffs as a cause for the layoffs. Sounded more like they aren't selling enough GM products in United States and China, not to mention ditching their stinker mobiles like the Cruze.
