    The DoD isn't effected by the shut down.

    Secret Service isn't getting paid during shutdown? I also thought the local DC police provided most of the protection.

    No, they aren't. USCP also isn't being paid.

    They'll get all the back pay when it ends, but they will get $0 until then.

    That's kind of crazy. How is the secret service considered non essential. Regardless they are required to work. Whether they are protecting Trump at the White House or in congress they're still there.
