Washington (CNN) President Donald Trump said "everybody would be very poor" and questioned how he could be impeached when he's made strides improving economic conditions in an interview aired Thursday.

"If I ever got impeached, I think the market would crash, I think everybody would be very poor," Trump said in response to a question from Fox News' Ainsley Earhardt, who asked if he believes Democrats would try to impeach him if they win back control of Congress. "You would see numbers that you wouldn't believe."

"You know, I guess it says something like high crimes and all -- I don't know how you can impeach somebody who has done a great job," Trump said.

Trump said during the interview that he would give himself an "A+" if asked to grade his performance in office so far, citing his successful appointment of Justice Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court and predicting that Brett Kavanaugh, his next high court pick, will be confirmed as well.
"I give myself an A+. I don't think any President has ever done what I have done," Trump said.

Well he is right, no President has ever done what he has done, if they had we'd probably not exist as a nation.

Look for Republicans to increasingly talk about impeachment to rally the base.

Though the recent Fox poll shows some really bad signs as far as Republican motivation. The fact that Trump has basically run against Republicans in Congress is also really coming back to haunt him.

I said this back before the election, and I'll say it again: this man has destroyed everything he's ever touched, and the Republican party will be no exception.

Trump to Fox: "It's called flipping and it almost ought to be illegal ... they go from 10 years to they're a national hero. They have a statue erected in their honor. It's not a fair thing.

You got to be kidding me. He's complaining about "flipping". Saying it's unfair? Which by the way is one of his favorite words. For the man who leads the party of the pick yourselves up by the bootstraps people, he sure is a whining little bitch. We all were told as children, "Life isn't fair" by our parents when we attempted to say things like it was unfair that we had to wash the dishes, or turn off the TV. It's just too ironic that their leader employs the same defenses as our children do, but for trump it's a-ok.

He's losing his mind and needs to step aside while he gets his head and his legal situation squared away.

I suspect that once the midterms are over, Congressional Republicans are going to start abandoning ship. The long, slow burn is likely going to have a very abrupt end.

I think he'll try to burn down everything he can if he goes down. It's going to get worse before it gets better and he's not about to take responsibility or go down without lashing out like an angry child.

When you're not busy laughing at news reports of a woman being murdered, celebrating old white people dying, and being an all around terrible person, you're crying to the likes of which I never before thought possible.
