I've never seen the show but supposedly they had to fly their cast all around the world and this is the reason for high production costs, couldn't they just redo the show's story so the cast didn't have to fly all over the world? Seems like a simple solution if people really liked the show that much, or was filming on location all over the world the only appeal of the show? Which seems doubtful.
So they could have easily cut costs if they wanted to, but it sounds like the show wasn't popular enough even if they cut costs.
They went for "ultimate realism" so they shot all the different scenes in those countries. It is just poor management, there was nothing about those scenes that needed to be in those countries.
It seemed like a decent show though, had they not spend way more money than they needed to it would have been a solid money maker for them. I think it was directed by the people who did the Matrix. That said I stopped watching after the first season as the story hadn't progressed enough for me and I got bored.
No, I am not Drauz in game.
