Is this because I was sarcastic to Drauz's comment about Watergate being a hotel so it's totally different? You have a point. I was sarcastic. I don't think he was being serious and I believe he was trying to be sarcastic himself. If he meant what he said in earnest then I apologize

This guy has point. Wittingly or not trump's delivering for Putin to the detriment of the U.S.A.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...es-succeeding/There has been plenty of fighting over exactly what Vladimir Putin's goal was in interfering in the 2016 U.S. election. The intelligence community has concluded he favored Donald Trump, but Trump has publicly cast doubt on this, and members of his administration have regularly sought to obscure it.
In a way this all misses the point. The even-bigger motivation wasn't necessarily about Trump personally; it was about destabilizing the American system of government. “Russian efforts to influence the 2016 US presidential election represent the most recent expression of Moscow’s longstanding desire to undermine the US-led liberal democratic order,” begins the January 2017 report from the U.S. intelligence community. Trump, by virtue of his controversial style and tendency to destroy societal norms, simply became the most obvious conduit — arguably a near-perfect one, in fact.
And this week showed just what a success it all has been for Putin.

Some good news coming out of the courts this week. A ruling against dark money and another win for dreamers.
A district judge has struck down a Federal Election Commission (FEC) rule that allowed for anonymous donations to “dark money” groups.
Politico reported that U.S. District Court Judge Beryl A. Howell ruled on Friday that the FEC regulation allowing for those donors to remain anonymous fell below the standard that Congress meant to set when it passed laws on disclosing the sources of political donations.
Politico noted that the ruling, which is likely to be appealed, means that nonprofits could be required to reveal the identities of donors who give $200 or more toward affecting federal elections. ARTICLEA Washington, D.C.-based federal judge ruled on Friday that the Trump administration must fully restore the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, saying the government's rationale for dropping it is inadequate.
The order by U.S. District Judge John Bates barring the administration from ending DACA is the third such mandate by a district court, and the latest blow to the administration's efforts to eliminate DACA. ARTICLE
