Honestly, and I don’t want to get all Infowars here but this ISIS crap is just a falseflag for the real big enchilada which is the state run miitary-industrial-wall street-DC complex. And yeah, I do listen to Alex Jones but some of it is spot on.

Sort of. Mostly it serves two functions:

1) It's used to absolve the United States of everything it did in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. The radicalization that led to ISIS and similar groups was fueled by an entire generation of people who lost their homes, their spouses, their children, their siblings, their health, and- all too often- their lives from the illegal occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan. We bombed THEM, and demonizing the people we bombed is necessary to avoid having to acknowledge what we did.

2) It's convenient scapegoating for the resurgence of white supremacy in the American Politic. The ugliest side of American political history is on the rise again, and they use fear-based messaging about Muslisms, immigrants, etc. to recruit and normalize their radical ideologies. Unfortunately, the Republican party helped usher this in and gave them a home and far more political power than they should ever have.

No, I'm asking you to apply the same logic to the people that killed 3000 people on 9/11. None of this happens if ,you know, the Islamic religion could learn to "coexist". This is nothing new Jeril, Islam has proven for centuries it's incapable of living peacefully with others.

Islam coexisted pretty well with us when Germany started a war that would cause more bloodshed than every war started by the Middle East combined... by an order of magnitude. And it coexisted pretty well with us the time before that that Germay started the deadliest war of all time. Now Germany is coexisting pretty well with us. Seems pretty simple, we just need to sink about 10% of our GDP into the region and work with them to rebuild the infrastructure we repeatedly destroyed.

Ok, so let me get this straight. I'm a fucking coward because I didn't join the military to go overseas to kill people in the middle east, but, I'm a racist because I support doing what it takes to win a war. That being the complete devastation of your enemy until they beg on their knees?

My only answer to this would be, it's not racism. It's an acceptance and understanding that this ugly truth is what it takes to win a war, if we don't hate our enemy to this extent then we have no business being in a war at all. 17 years and going.

See, this is exactly what I mean by you not understanding my posts. I've never said we should just "let go" what they've done. Saying you should let go of your hate isn't the same as saying you should just roll over and die. Unless you think hate is the only thing sustaining you, which would be quite the sad existence.

I just want to see an enemy body count so high that they stop the terrorist attacks, I don't care how it's accomplished. I certainly prefer whatever is the best way to do it while saving as many American and allied lives as possible. Or just come home.
