The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane. ~ Marcus Aurelius“It's a beautiful thing, the destruction of words.”
― George Orwell, 1984
“The urge to shout filthy words at the top of his voice was as strong as ever.”
― George Orwell, 1984
No he didn't.
He said "In America ... we worship God."
He didn't say Tenlaar believes in God and attends church every Sunday.
If I said "In my town we are Red Sox fans" does this mean I am saying literally every person in my town is a Red Sox fan?
It's a generality. Stop being a sensitive snowflake and send all of your money to me since the money is speaking for you and says you trust in God.
Yes. That is what those words imply when you say them. Being wrong doesn't mean that you aren't saying it, and Trump being wrong about all Americans having religious beliefs doesn't mean he isn't saying it. It is not the President's place to "generalize" religious ideals onto the people he is supposed to represent, many of whom do not believe in God.

Not when it's understood by literally everyone but you that it's not meant to be taken 100% literally. Now you're just being ridiculous for the sake of being ridiculous.
What's more, does me SAYING you're a Red Sox fan magically make you a Red Sox fan? Am I forcing you to attend church or pray to Mecca 10 times a day? No. Again, stop being ridiculous just for the sake of being ridiculous.
See you're doing it again. You're acting like he magically made you a Christian, because let's face it if he "made" you a Muslim you wouldn't be bitching right now. It's the Christian thing, right? You know I'm right.
It's okay to not go out looking for shit to be offended about. Try it sometime, you might find you like it.
If he tried to say that I, by being an American, am supposed to hold a belief in ANY creator/god figure, I would have a problem with it. No, I don't want him saying that I'm a Muslim either. Or Jewsih. Or Hindi.
The President should not be publicly declaring religious beliefs for the entire country in sweeping statements. Period. You know I'm right.
Hey, when your president is a narcissistic oompa loompa who tried to sell luxury steaks through Sharper Image, he can say whatever he wants.
I'm calling it now. Two presidential terms from now, Donald Trump will be heralded as the greatest political commentator ever when he reveals himself as the next iteration of Sacha Baron Cohen's political commentary a la Borat after as a result of having taken lessons in method acting from Daniel Day Lewis.

Hi. I'm Steve.
He didn't say that. He didn't even imply that. You are now looking for a reason to be outraged over something. Try just being happy for once.
He. Did. Not. Declare. A. Religion. For. The. Country. Stop. Being. Fucking. Stupid.
Just curious; were you crying this much when Obama "declared" that Christians today should be ashamed of the crusades committed 500 years ago? Something tells me you found that okay but curl up in a ball and cry yourself to sleep at the thought of the "Muslim ban." Right? Come on, you have to at least admit to this one. Be a man.
He certainly promoted monotheism. And he did mean it literally. He sent this tweet deliberately, it wasn't just saying "god bless America" at the end of a speech. More than that though, we all know what he meant.
Just for the cheap seats: this is gaslighting. He says some shit, everyone knows what he means because of context, and his worshippers tell you, "oh no, he didnt say that. He was speaking lyrically and just meant something else"
That is gaslighting
