The tension's always been there, but mostly from the '80s onward when they were hijacking planes and detonating bombs. The nuclear thing really kicked off under Bush II, but I don't necessarily fault him (or Obama) for not jumping in because were were already embroiled in Iraq & Afghanistan.

So, the current Carrier Group off Korea is there because the one that is supposed to be there is undergoing repairs in Japan and the third on is actually thousands of miles from Kroea conducting routine exercises with Australia. There aren't 3 Carrier Groups heading to Korea and "Officials did, however, flatly deny reports that three U.S. carrier strike groups were being directed to mass off the Korean peninsula in a few weeks. "

There is exactly one carrier group operating around Korea.

I have it on good authority that Battlefleet Solarus is gathering above North Korea as we speak. God Emperor Trump has decided to drop the hammer on them.

Picture it. December 6, 1980. The nuclear powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz is on a training mission in the South Pacific near Hawaii. A bizarre storm strikes, disrupting all electronics on the ship. When the crew recovers from the storm, they discover that they have been sent back in time 39 years to....December 6, 1941! The day before Pearl Harbor. With 1980s technology, the aircraft carrier and its planes could easily stop the Japanese attack. But should they?

That's what I think may be going on with the USS Carl Vinson, the missing Nimitz-class supercarrier. Donald Trump sent it and its "armada" back in time to a point before Kim Jung-un became unstoppable. With 21st Century technology, we can defeat baby Kim. How long do we have to wait before we know it worked?

North Korea with another ballistic missile test. Unlike Obama I don't think Trump is going to tuck tail and run on this one.

And how many South Koreans dying is acceptable should we attack the north? Because there is zero chance none would die. Sanctions won't work, because Kim doesn't give a shit how poorly his people live, and they blindly follow whatever he says.
Khaladon starts to turn the crystal knob, but stops with a frightened look on his face. He begins shaking uncontrollably and flies across the room, as though by some invisible force.

**SPLAT!!** Khaladon careens off the far wall, slides down the smooth wood panelling and collapses into a quivering heap on the floor, with only his dignity bruised.

A lot less than waiting for them to have a full nuclear arsenal. Also before they can hit the US too.

People might die in a war? Holy shit that is a hell of an astute observation, Ardy.
