I remember when I was several years younger, I was turning out of my neighborhood onto a semi-main road, and as I turned a cat jumped from the street, onto my hood, and jumped off. I lost my shit, jerked the wheel, ran over a sapling tree. The car was fine, but the tree was ALL kinds of fucked up. I drove off and didn't look back. It was fucking a terrifying. Had no clue it was a cat until I had stopped the car after hitting the tree and turned my head. Fucker was sitting there on the stone wall licking his paws.
And immediately, my family thought I was texting and driving. I didn't even HAVE my phone! Ugh.
