Thread: Thread for Things That Made You Frown Today

I was a kennel worker and then veterinary tech in high school. At some point I got numb to the pain. We had to roll the ornery cats up in a towel before giving them a shot. Kept my clothes on though - pro tip.

God. I've done the cat rolling. Set them down like a statue cat, down on their belly, then quickroll them 3-4 times like a burrito, so only their head is sticking out, and a bit of their front paws. So cute.... so vicious....

She's okay with most stuff, but not water. Absolutely not water. She doesn't even like to be in the room when I fill her water bowl.

She doesn't go into the bathrooms in the house if there is anyone else in there, she is afraid of getting plucked and put in the tub because I tried this a lot as a child (and like I said, I have the scars to prove it).

I can clip her nails and such without much of a fuss, just a bit of whining.
I got that job, by the way

    Ingredients:
    One warm bathtub
    One unsuspecting feline
One heavy duty cotton bath towel
    Two pinches of catnip

Take catnip, drop onto towel. Lure feline to towel. Play with feline. Get feline to roll around. Roll feline up at opportune moment, preferably with head sticking out. Make sure roll is nice and tight so she can't wiggle out. Tape towel shut if need be.

Place towel feet first into water. Hold cat tight in towel.

Sit and listen to pitiful MOWWWWWW cries.

    Dry off later.

Watch as she throws death at you with her eyes while cleaning herself.

Dude are you trying to ruin their feline/human bond?

One bath experience for the cat's health is way less annoying than a whole vet visit and orally ingested antibiotics on a two week course.

She's been sneezing pretty much for like... over a month. It hasn't been as frequent as the past few days, maybe a few times a day, but it clearly isn't going away on its own.

I almost did that earlier. Absent mindedly found myself pouring a tall glass of delicious whole milk. Frowned as I poured it back in the container.

I just toss my cat in the sink and make the bitch take it. But good god - she gets back at me during the towel dry.
