Because if you don't want to fuck the economy, break the law as written and allow the President unlimited powers you obviously don't want to help people. Continue that argument to extremes, it's worked for you so far.

Constant obstruction is definitely about helping people. Bad faith negotiations too.

Well, 9 Democrats in the Senate voted for it and 29 Democrats in the House voted for it, and you know every single Republican that ever lived or will live voted or will vote for it.

Isn't that like the very definition of bipartisan support?

I was discussing a party. You were discussing 1 politician. That's the bit you were confused about.

Surprised to hear that. You seem to be a logical person in general, I figured you would understand that insurance is a business. Taking on pre-existing conditions is a terrible way to make a profit. It's basically saying you agree to lose money. I get the whole "people before profits" and all that, but at some point a business has to be profitable just to...ya know...stay in business. Whether they pay out more than they take in, or cut profits to such a slim margin nobody bothers with it anymore, it's a recipe for disaster for most of us in the long run.

End result will be full-blown nationalized healthcare regardless. Lets go ahead and get it over with.
