I encourage everyone to read the actual study, even recognizing that that will never ever happen. They aren't actually comparing toxic dose to effective dose, obviously, because 1 dose of alcohol isn't deadly. They also draw a distinction between risk to individual and risk to population and quantitatively weigh both, an approach that is quite interesting, although they bizarrely claim they couldn't identify a dose-response curve for mental health problems caused by cannabis, which undermines their analysis quite significantly. The more I read it, the more I think they're hamstrung by relying on animal testing.
All in all, I'm not surprised you drew the conclusion you did, but I am disappointed. I am greatly cheered by your coining of schizophobic, though! It is of course inaccurate, but that's to be expected in this context, at least it's an act of creation.

There's really no reason to expect that you would have, you or subzero or anyone else. Nobody knows everything about anything, but when we work as a team our knowledge base grows. Oh, the humanity!
