You've obviously ignored the countless times that I've agreed they were awful the way they were implemented. All of this was brand new. Of course there were going to be hiccups, and when you're talking about a brand new system of government for an entire nation, any "hiccup" is going to have huge repercussions. This doesn't mean there wasn't a lot of good there, too. Instead of blindly taking it as a pass or fail, pick out the good bits, figure out why the bad bits aren't working, and go from there. In a sense we did that, but a lot of caveats were made to sign the deal...things that I believe are just now gaining enough steam to be dangerous. Stone is stronger than water, but gives way to it over time.
Lol...like what, specifically?I would love to have any one of a number of alternate plans. ACA could've been much better but Obama gave away most of its value in a year of fruitless negotiations with Republicans.
Brinksmanship at it's finest. What really makes you think "American Conservatives" want to do things that are harmful to people? Framing it this way does nothing to progress equal discourse. It puts people on the defensive, because you're basically saying the other side is evil and wants to do harmful things because they're evil. The reality is we all want the same result, we just disagree on how to get there. Try making a logical argument instead of a base insult. He shouldn't have been so naive. American conservatives don't want successful reform.
lol.Now wacky reactionary nonsense will be proposed, Obama will veto it, Democrats will actually undeservedly look good, and it'll eventually work to give Congress back.
