I really should move this rant to the laugh thread, because this woman won't stop. I told her I wasn't interested in working with her and she just. won't. stop. I wonder when she'll take the hint (me ignoring her emails) and stop contacting me.
Email 1: I don’t want to waste anyone’s time which is why I want to get a better sense as to the type of roles that I should be bringing to your attention. I can send you job descriptions but I would really like to tailor my search for you in your best interest with the right types of opportunities. I hope that you would reconsider and be open to hearing about the roles that we have because I do think I could be a great resource for you in your career.Email 2: I feel like I need to apologize for yesterday, I wasn’t trying to come across as pushy or rude I was just excited about you as a candidate because you have a such a great background!
I just got this position with Invesco in Midtown and want to do right by you.
I hope we can move forward and I can be a resource for you!Email 3: Hi Stef,
I thought about it some more and I totally understand where you are coming from. Our firm is the largest, most successful Accounting/finance team in Atlanta and the way that we traditionally work with candidates is to bring them into the office so we can meet them and allow them to spend 5 or so minutes with each of our 5 or 6 primary business developers. These individuals are the ones working directly working with the clients so they are often able to recognize company/cultural fits with candidates right away. We are currently working on over 250 open orders in Atlanta and probably 15 or so at your level. You could be a fit for all or none of them based on what kind of environment you are looking for and what you want your career trajectory to look like.
If it’s hard for you to get away for 45 minutes during work, perhaps we could meet for coffee one morning assuming you are fine working with me.
Happy holidays!!!
