When I went there, it was the poor man's SVA. Ironically, after I graduate and they lololoololoooo have all my moneys, that's when the school totally renovates and updates. I still have pictures SOMEWHAR that I took for ahem reference of the crumbling ruins. One assignment in .. some class I forget, we had to make a brochure (who doesn't make a brochure at least a hundred times in art school), and being a level four dickburger scripting in the ratacombs, mine was basically about the super crazy modern awesome of the school complete with pictures of dudes sleeping at their drafting tables, boarded up old classrooms in the abandoned second floor, my pile of empty robitussin bottles and some photoshopped purply vomit, picture of an empty beer can box with 'COMPUTAR' scrawled on it in paint, etc etc

Pretty certain now it's awesome. I haven't been back since before the reno's were done in 2007.

Both of the students I sent that way (one an emo spawn like you) seem to dig it so far. And lol to that brochure.

Noice noice. The thing about the place (back then and probably still today) is that you get as much out of it as you put in. I'm glad you're sending them some fresh fish though!

One experience they'll unfortunately never have though is Sequential Art III with Joe Kubert. Dude was like 80? when I graduated and could kick all our doughy nerd asses.
