Sounds like he understands it perfectly, the whole point of propaganda is to appeal to the people. And most people rarely like to hear the truth at first, it tends to take a while to sink in and be appreciated.

I hardly think Ayn Rand is "the truth." On the general philosophical musing level you're probably right though. Conservatives can do much better with a channel of non stop "liberals bad!" than a movie. Most liberals have a shorter attention span for political themes, thus the crap that is MSNBC.

It doesn't mean bemoaning the lack of conservative Hollywood stars is effective though. They've certainly been there, like the examples I listed plus people like Schwarzenegger. Conservatism is just darker and less pleasant these days. Under Reagan it was about inclusiveness and bringing hope to everyone, thus still allowing Hollywood success. Nowadays people are regularly drummed out of the Republican Party for lack of ideological purity, Communism style.

Before he shifted to making movies to take vacations I think Adam Sandler represented more of that past ideal.

I wasn't "bemoaning a lack of conservative Hollywood stars"...I was simply stating that the majority of Hollywood stars are idiot libs...not intelligent libs, which do exist...you can't honestly deny the effective use of propaganda in influencing our youthful voter base. Be real, man...how dumb were you when you were 18? Not saying EVERYONE is likely to follow what some idiot on TV says, but...the proof is in the pudding, so to speak. We can go back to ancient Rome and find evidence of the Plebs making poor decisions based on propaganda, one way or the other. It just so happens that self-described Liberals in Hollywood make up the vast majority of "People using their stardom to influence voting".

Conservatism, on a Federal level, is perhaps "darker and less pleasant"...because it requires personal responsibility. The Plebs don't want to be bothered with such things...they wanted to be handed their comfort.

Some things no Liberal has ever been able to answer...maybe you can?

1) If you taxed everyone in America 100%, no loopholes, you still couldn't pay off the Debt....

2) Name one poor person who has ever given someone else a job.
