I wouldn't go so far as to call him a liberal, but he's ineffective, whatever he is...just like most of our politicians these days.
This is what happens when Cwolff's "grey areas" get out of hand...we come to where we are now. No clear lines are drawn, the right is just as bad as the left.
These people have money. They have fame. Those two things together can influence idiotic youths more than any scientific study produced by any reputable Academic source, and you know this.
I'm all about parody, I wouldn't mind at all if "actors" were evenly split between conservative and liberal...that's just not the case. Hollywood is overwhelmingly liberal (probably because none of them ever had to actually work for anything...I cite Tom Cruise and others comparing a movie shoot to active duty in a warzone), and the PSA's and other media that comes out of Hollywood is unfairly biased...
Wait...it's unfair! Even the playing field! We're all supposed to be equal, right? Why do Libs in Hollywood get more air time than Conservs?
edit: Freudian slip...parody=parity.

Yes, because only libs care about others, right?
This goes back to Benjamin Franklin times..."the worst thing you can do to a man is make him comfortable in his own poverty"...
This is the shit I'm trying to get away from. Both sides pull on emotions...oh, libs just want to give everyone a hand-out, fuck the people who work for it...conservs just want to screw over the little guy on the way to bigger profits...
Neither of these are the reality. Why can't we throw away the talking points and have a legitimate discussion? Just once? Please?
It isn't a talking point. People find Ben Stein funny, sometimes even compelling. He doesn't convince people that President Nixon is a nice guy because they can't empathize with him in the same way as somebody who they think is reaching out to help people.
You're not going to see a representative sample in Hollywood until conservatives tone down the "fuck everybody but me" rhetoric. There's a reason people like Reagan and Wayne and Eastwood sold tickets and a lot more modern conservatives don't.

Keep perpetuating the system.
