Er...ok? If there isn't a Libertarian candidate running for a certain position, I vote between the people who are running. This is almost always either a Democrat or a Republican, and since I have no allegiance to either party, I vote for the individual I like the best. Sometimes that's a Republican, and sometimes it's a Democrat. I'm sorry if you think that's dumb.

That would require me to register either Democrat or Republican. I can't bring myself to do that, because I'm neither of those things. Although there are times I would like to vote in a closed Primary, I can't simply switch parties on a whim. It would be at least dishonest, to myself most of all. It's not "disenfranchising" in the least. It would be no different than saying all Democrats are voluntarily disenfranchising themselves for not registering Republican, because they can't vote in the Republican Primary.
