Apparently you right wingers don't care because you're sure as hell not bringing it up. You're just cutting foodstamps and cutting unemployment while asking that we keep the tax rates low.

The reason the GOP's not talking about any of that is because of the blowback they'll receive. They have to own Gitmo, Drone strikes and hunger. They have to explain why the economy's getting better and the deficit is shrinking. They'd have to own the government shutdown and ACA success. They don't want any of that shit coming up so they're making their stand with Benghazi for the umpteenth time.

The dems are bringin up a lot. The don't want to talk about drones, gitmo or get drawn into another conflict. That's true. But they are/did fight for social programs and just got ACA through 4 years of obstruction, supreme court challenges and government shutdowns. That's huge and has taken up most of Obama's presidency, along with getting us out of the recession. Time will be good to Barack.

I think you missed my point about the welfare thing. We should be outraged that things are so bad that 50 million Americans are on welfare. Is wanting to cut funding pretty fucked up? Sure! Is not wanting to do anything to fix the situation so we can continue to have 50 million people under the government's thumb so we hope they keep voting Democrat? You betcha!

I don't believe that a President has as much influence on the economy as people think. I do believe that, right or wrong, the President gets the blame and should therefore get the credit. It's something I've brought up many many times here. If one wants to blame Obama for stuff during his presidency, just because he's President, then you have to give him the credit too.

To be fair it was also the biggest economic depression since... the Depression. So it fits.

Ya it'd be great if no one was on welfare. Our economy's on the rebound but it's not so hot for all of us. We're seeing greater income inequality and a smaller slice of the pie for everyone else. The middle class is being shoved downhill. I think (NOTE: This is my opinion) that we need to seriously look at this growing inequality and address it.
