I'd respectfully disagree. It's not charity unless it's voluntarily given. Our tax dollars are compulsorily taken/stolen. I'd say governmental social programs are socialism in practice.

Sure I did. Farmers don't get subsidies only if they demonstrate need nor do you get tax breaks because you are needy. Social programs may feel like a generous gift but they are pragmatic and our society has recognized the value in making these part of our priorities.

The ACA prevents people from just dying in the streets. And it's called the AFFORDABLE Care Act.. which means it's affordable.

Now, for those who have stated they don't want a single payer system because of how poorly the government runs things. Since when does government pay equal government management? Because if you want I am sure myself and others can find many examples of where this is untrue.
