My old AOL email was compromised. Somehow spammers got ahold of my contact list about a week ago and began spoofing emails to them. Nothing I can do really... just scanned and cleaned my devices, and deleted the email account I created like, 17 years ago. 17 fucking years ago. Mind blowing.

I have a general question. Is it unreasonable for me to expect some kind of comment (positive or negative) when I've spent hours working on requested projects for free for someone? I've done five portraits for this person and not one acknowledgement by her so I asked what was up with that and still, nada. So, petty as it might be, I deleted all the work I did for her. I wasn't really happy with the first three but the last two were pretty good if I say so myself. I bent over backwards to try and get the look she wanted and, even though I enjoy this hobby and I don't expect gushing praise, I do expect simple courtesy.
I'm also in a really bad mood due to something unrelated so that might have had something to do with my lack of equanimity. Whatever, I hate rude people.

Given what some people in the community charge for work it seems to me you are completely within your rights. You time is valuable, even if you're doing what you enjoy.

Surely you are within your rights to delete the artwork and I understand your frustration, but I feel like it punishes the rest of us more than her.

Finally sucking it up and selling my older daughter's beautiful palomino paint horse since the younger one is clearly not going to ride anymore. Hated giving up my farm last fall and wheedling down to 2 horses already, but that's life in divorceeland. #firstworldproblems
