I consider myself a conservative on most issues. But I am not what I will call an extreme conservative. I would like to join the NRA, I really would. But when I hear the NRA screaming against background checks and the CEO of the NRA making paranoid statements, it reaffirms my belief that I do not belong in the NRA's ranks.
