And why should I give that company money, not knowing if I will ever get it back, so I can buy their product?

This is why I hate ALL subsidies. We may not see some, but could you imagine if when you went to a GM dealership, they asked you for a 1,000 $ check. Then told you to come back in 3 months and buy a car for full price? You would ask them what the 1,000 was for, and they would say.. "So we can afford to build your car, duh". You would ask, "then why don't I get 1,000 off the price of the car?" ... "We have to make a profit" they would respond.
I'm not exactly seeing the Republican crusade to reduce coal and oil subsidies.

No, we do not expect you to believe anything that wasn't programmed into your brain housing group already.

Got any idea how much shit you have that's subsidized? Everything you eat and all the gas you burn has been. Home ownership is subsidized. We've got a 35% tax rate for corporations who only pay 25% because of write offs. Some companies like Apple recently made the news for having no tax liability. That's a subsidy. Things are nearly so black and white and it may seem to you.

Yep, that makes a lot of sense.

In fifth grade my math teacher incorrectly calculated an equation on the board. I don't believe in relativity because of that mistake.

If you can't add 2 + 2, how can one expect you to be able to use multiplication?

An elementary school math teacher making a mistake does not mean Einstein was wrong.

I didn't say that and you didn't answer my question.

Ok... I can add 2 and 2, and I can do multiplication. If we're insisting on being literal.

Maybe it's a bad analogy. Here's another: don't ask your car mechanic to refinance your house.

I didn't ask if you could do them, but if one would be able to learn multiplication before one learned to use addition.
