Do you ask for a "how medicine works" manual when you go to the doctor? Come on man. What conspiracy or scam could there possibly be? Yeah, a conspiracy to save ourselves a lot of heartache and destruction. Thats going to save us money in the long run.

We still lead the world in a lot of ways. We've also been the main contributor for a long time. We led on industrialization we can lead on the post industrial era too. Certainly countries like China and India aren't going to get serious about it until we do. They can always just point to us and say that they are trying to only catch/keep up. There's a lot to learn by investing in green technology more. Look at all the stuff we got from NASA and, let's be honest, there's no real reason to fly to the moon.

I'm not sure what this means... Do you mean the "cosmos" could destroy our planet with a fluke asteroid? Sure, maybe, but why design your future on whether you get run over tomorrow?

And your so-called "holocene extinction period"... you realize that most of that is due to the human effect, right?

We also have supervolcanoes on our planet ready to fuck up everything we know as civilization at anytime. I believe we do make an impact. I'm not denying that. I just feel it is very insignificant compared to what our planet does. One volcano can spit out more in one hour then we have done in a century. And this has happened before.

Yes, all these countries that burn fossil fuels will suddenly stop and spend 3-4X as much money for power just because we do.

Even you can't be that naive.

Is it because they are green companies or because they get money? Cause the list of companies that get money is a whole hell of a lot longer than that.

His issue is that solar energy isn't profitable without government help compared to other sources. Didn't we go over this some other place? Or was it earlier in this thread?

Man, I forgot how much of a gremlin-y, punchable face that kid had. I think I finally understand why everyone was out to get him.
