Thread: Thread for Things That Made You Frown Today

Bought a hiking pack and tent, decided I didn't like the design of either, bought a new hiking pack and tent. On the upside, now I have what I want. On the downside, wasted money. Much frown.

Past the 30-day window, unfortunately, but yeah, CL works for me.

Which are the unwanted hiking pack and tent?

First pack: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001947FG8/ Good pack, but at 5lbs a little heavy.

First tent was just a laughable piece of shit (I don't know why I went for the cheap one), so it doesn't even get a link. I need a 5-year-old to give it to for a backyard "camping" tent.

    New pack: http://www.golite.com/Jam-50L-Pack-Unisex-P46812.aspx
    New tent: http://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/72836...-tent&subrnd=0

I've got a large ALICE with frame, does the job but I will say both packs you picked out look good to go.

Frown for me, wife is in the ER for migraines, regular doc can't do anything for her so we're sent here to get IV/shots/etc....hopefully we'll get the green light soon from insurance for the next step in trying to get these damn things taken care of.

Sorry to hear about your wife. My migraines got to the point a year or two ago that I start to lose vision for usually about 20-30 minutes until I can't see anything, then the pain starts. Doctors gave my imitrex (sumatriptan is the generic) and that seems to help... at least it seems to help me see again, but often still have plenty of pain and just end up feeling like someone beat me with a stick. Ocular migraines, they call them, I guess.

Is she on meds for them now, or is it a newer issue?

Sorry to hear about your wife's migraines, AR. I have a friend who gets them, and it just seems like a horribly shitty experience.

She's had migraines most of her adult life. We've run the gambit of things to look/test/take/etc. We're now working with a doc that does nothing but migraines and that's where we're waiting on the insurance stuff. I just hate the fact that it's something I can't fix/kill.

I've had one migraine in my life and I thought I was going to die. She has my sympathy.
