Sounds like you've had a rough couple of months.

All of 2013 has been shit. I have never considered the number 13 to be unlucky, but I am starting to.

Maybe, if 13 is shit, 14 will be awesome? Or at least better than shit?

It's been at least twelve hours since my dog's dental cleaning and minor surgery to remove those suddenly discovered growths in her mouth today but she is just not shaking it off. Copious drooling in a dog that does not normally drool at all, barely being able to shuffle around, unable to focus her eyes, obvious discomfort... It's hard to watch, especially since I'm having a hard time not worrying about the results of her biopsies whenever I look at her. She's never been as quick to recover from anesthesia as the other two dogs but it's never been this bad. If she were vomiting, I'd whip her right over to the emergency vet.

I'm thinking we're going to start skipping the yearly cleaning and just do our best with regular toothbrushing. No more anesthesia for Sparta unless it's imperative.

Ha ha, thanks! We picked it because her tail looks like the crest on a Hoplite helm when it's up and because we can say "This. Is. SPARTA." when we introduce her.

    I love you.
Also, does she have a lambda on her tag?

Everything I just spent the last three days moving into my moms basement has now been destroyed by floodwaters ankle deep at the lowest point. Everything I own except three boxes of books and some dishes, and this old netbook I found on a shelf. My private war with god continues, apparently.

Goddamnit Dex I'm so sorry. In my extremely limited experience (ie: one cat having died from complications from a dental cleaning - the anesthesia lowered her immune response so the lung issue she was silently fighting for who knows how long took her over), I just say take her in today. It's not worth waiting if there really is something going on.
