I'm so livid right now. I just got off the phone with this assistant principle. They are going to suspend her for a day over it all. I was like really? Over something said at a friend's house? The woman was like, "This is impacting a teacher's reputation". OMG seriously? My daughter didn't post it on FB or any social media...like you all said. I told this woman that I did not agree with this punishment and I'm glad my daughter will not be at that school next year. I also told this woman that I'm sure she never talked shit about a boss outside of work, or about anyone for that matter...fucking give me a break.

As a conservative who has no issue with old-fashioned discipline when appropriate, I must state that the school is absolutely and completely...ridiculous in their response.

No that is absolutely not what I meant. What I meant was that many conservatives would have a major problem with the school's response to this matter. I meant no insult or implication of any kind to liberals with my response - I meant to insult the school ridiculous approach to the matter.

I don't understand why you have to mention your political leanings at all. Everyone can agree the school is over-reaching here. You do sound like a twat. Just sayin'.

That being said, while I get the frustration, it's a one day suspension. Is this going to follow her around for her entire career in school or something? Is she really going to suffer greatly for having a day home watching TV? (I'm seriously asking, because I don't really get the big deal).
