Which cruise line do you prefer? Don't say Disney or Carnival.

Took the family to the Phantom of the Opera at the Wang Center years ago, paying way the hell too much for good seats, dresses for the girls and all that crap... and the man behind me started singing along. I nearly lost my mind. I had to turn around, look him in the eye and tell him it was not a sing along before he would shut up.

my Book of Mormon tickets at the Kennedy Center are not great, not together, and $120 each, but I HAVE to see it and getting tix for Broadway is even more impossible.

Royal Caribbean, I haven't been on Celebrity or Holland America, but I've heard good things and I'd rather try something new than something I knew was just okay.

No idea. I want to get better. And shame can be washed away along with stanky ocean smell. Points for timely reference to catholic guilt. Which I do not have.

Yet another Carnival cruise ship is having mechanical problems at sea, the third in a month, US media reported Friday.
It was an added headache for the company whose vessel Triumph suffered an engine fire last month in the Gulf of Mexico, leaving thousands stranded for days without power or working toilets.
This time a ship called Legend is having a problem with a unit that affects its sailing speed, CBS news said, quoting a statement from Carnival, the world's largest cruise ship company.
A visit Friday to the Cayman Islands has been scrapped and the ship will head to its home port in Tampa, Florida, with arrival expected Sunday.
Another other troubled ship, the Dream, was finishing a Caribbean cruise when it suffered a mechanical issue with a diesel generator. Power was not lost, but elevators and restrooms periodically lost electricity.
Rather than sail home to Cape Canaveral, Florida some 4,300 passengers will be flown home from St. Maarten, the company said.

I feel even better about going Star Clipper and battling down my girlfriend's Carnival idea. I'm not sure I'd take one of those cruises even as a prize.

The only bright spot is that I was the only person who said "Carnival ships are all run down.. I hate them"

I love typing out "I told you so" to a group email...

No clue to be honest.. the wives are arranging everything. I think the only thing we've plunked down so far is a deposit.
