We'd weaned my pitbull off phenobarbital, thinking her seizures were under control. We'd thought stairs were her trigger because she kept seizing around them and falling down them. We specifically built a house with no stairs! But she just seized again. For five minutes! It felt like forever. ;_; My poor puppy.

I've heard good results from keppra over pheno. No personal experience but that's the word on the street.

I read in a comic book that you can simulate the effects of phenobarbital if you have alien tele-etc. powers. I'm no big city doctor like Showal, but that's what I would do.
