You need to get the fuck over yourself. So what if your kid has a sub for 2 months. Seriously, get. the. fuck. over. yourself.

I just said that, in so many words. Thank you for the firm verbal kick in the ass.

Because you wouldn't want this woman to know what a real lowlife douchebag you are, that would totally ruin your chances of sleeping with her once she delivers.

You sir are wrong. Just all sorts of fucking wrong.

I pretend not to be a lowlife douchebag so I can sleep with her WHILE she is pregnant, not AFTER. Stupid...fucking a late-term pregnant teacher is the American dream of every man. You are watching the wrong porno categories and I pity your nonexistent soul!

Yesterday was my girlfriend's first full day in her new role as the payroll manager. On her very first day she took home her laptop to work some more at home and get caught up. I told her she is doing it wrong...

Got a 77 on my first Bio test. Class average was 60 (highest grade 85), and she ended up tacking on +10 to everyone's grades, giving me a high B, but she wont do that next time. Need to study harder.

No, she's doing it right. Work hard right off the bat and show everyone you're awesome and stuff. Then once the great first impression is made, you can start slacking and people don't really notice. Also, a payroll manager's life is FAR easier if they know all the random details about who works when, has which deductions, etc. Noticing a missing insurance deduction or an incorrectly entered new hire *before* everything processes is a lot better than creating a whole second round or going back the next pay period to fix it. It's well worth putting in the extra time in the beginning.

I suppose you are right and that is a valid point. She left an internet payroll company for where she works now. She began at the place she works now as a senior payroll specialist 3 months ago with the expectation she would replace the current payroll manager. They announced it Friday and she started yesterday.

I'm really proud of her. This is her first management position. She is incredibly inteligent and has an ideal work ethic. The funny thing, as smart and knowledgable as she is about her job and knowing the salaries of so many positions...she is deathly affraid of salary negotiations and how that process works. I'm happy that I was able to help her in that area, because she has done a lot for me.
