Here's an email sent out by a coworker last week. At first I just chuckled, but then I started feeling genuinely depressed about it.

    20 year Navy veteran
likely making over $100k per year.
He's moving on to work on an NSA contract.

After nearly two decade, time has come for me to try my wings at a new
    location.

It has been real watching this brigade growth and adapts to it various
    missions.

This Friday will be my last day and I wish you much success in all that you
set your mind and hand to do.

One survivor, Glen Plake, was quoted as saying that "there were 25 tents at Camp 3 and all of them were destroyed; 12 tents at Camp 2 were banged up and moved around".
Mr Plake said he had lost a few front teeth and had an eye injury after being swept 300 metres down the mountain, according to Trey Cook, the editor-in-chief of EpicTV.com, which makes adventure sports films.
Deteriorating weather conditions meant it was impossible to continue air searches of the mountain on Sunday.
The climbers were caught at around 7,000 metres (22,960ft) as they were preparing to head toward the summit, which is 8,156m high.
My friend is at camp 2 and it looks like he was supposed to go to camp 3 the day before this happened, but bad weather set it. Luckily, he is alright. Terrifying.

busted! I had to know if that was your real last name. I'm fascinated with strange family names especially when they have no cultural identifiers. Is it a disambiguation? Also the accounting thing plays with my head? If I had a fruitloop last name I would tell people I was a watercolor artist that came from a long line of hippie monk hermits. Even if it wasn't true.

Anyway you were in good company because then I looked up some unpronouncables from work, all the people on the Emmys, everyone named Charles Manson (there are not that many, strangely enough!) and all the John Does in my immediate vicinity.

Yeah so I got home from work and decided that I would play a game on my ps3 to wind down, and next thing I knew the clock said 1:00pm... wtf I have to get up at 4 or 5 and go back to work... stupid ass me. Gonna be a very long night! lol

I love getting a call from the drunken father asking me for money. No really, it made my fucking day. Seriously, look at the fucking smile on my face.

I just realized you referred to him as "the drunken father" not "my drunken father." Is this your biological father? Step dad? Is he the father from your church? Do you have a town wino who everyone calls "the drunken father"?
