An abscess is an infected thing - could be anything. It's just a bunch of pus and blood all collected up, irritating everything around it. So yes, if it is punctured (deliberately or otherwise) you'll leak blood and pus into your mouth and down your throat.

No, that was related to my tonsils getting removed. Your body might react better to the antibiotics but they never worked for me. Did you get anything for the pain? I'm having flashbacks just thinking about how much that shit sucked.

When they lance it they get most of that out without it going down your throat.

Most, yes. But not all. The thought of even a teeny tiny bit of that leaking into my mouth and throat makes me want to yak. The reality would almost certainly accomplish the job.

Well yes, that's why I said most of it. Like I said I've been through this multiple times. Sure it's gross but by that time you don't really give a fuck. The abscess is incredibly painful and the process of lancing is even more painful. Hell even the part before the lance where they numb the area with novacaine injections is quite painful. And this is coming from someone with a high tolerance to pain.

I got cough drops and ibuprofen. It doesn't really hurt, it's just scratchy and uncomfortable and now fucking TERRIFYING. I'm afraid of sleeping and drowning in my own throat puss and blood.
