Since you seem to lack ability to discern meaning and intent, let me spell it out for you: I blame those women whose response to the very possibility of gender discrimination is to bring a man along to keep them safe. Give me a fucking break. I don't need a man to trail me around in order to make sure I am receiving a fair deal. I can discern that on my own and deal with it on my own. So yes, I guess I do blame people who approach situations with a victim's mentality before they've even been victimized. Cry me a river.

Allereli presented a study and without looking at the study in depth your reaction was "victim mentality!!!" It was a vapid response and I called you on it so don't get emotional. I agree with Allereli that the smart thing to do is bring a guy, which gender norms within our society have predetermined will be more knowledgable on cars. If possible bring a mechanic, which gender norms within our society have also predetermined to be male and more knowledgeable on cars. All of these factors compound to give a more positive outcome with the car salesman, which gender norms within our society all predetermine will most likely be male, mechanic and more knowledgable on cars. Oh look, facts. OR. You could spend 30 minutes googling Kelly blue book on the internet to make yourself an expert and then wing it to prove a point.

I laughed too. At the comment by TGo1 that is. The video left me a little bug-eyed but I still managed to force myself to watch the whole thing. And then I had to replay it a few times of course, just to make sure I was actually seeing what I thought I was seeing.

My point is: why have you stopped sending me presents?

The only one experiencing a knee jerk, emotional response here is you.

I guess next you will be suggesting that black people should probably have a white person trailing them around so they can avoid any possibility of racial bias when they are out shopping.

Oh, hell no. I know I'm usually arguing the other side of the feminist fence when I talk to you, but fuck that. I do not need to hide behind a man just because gender norms within our society are unequal. You are 100% correct in that car-related issues are one of the things women get the short end of the stick on. If you think that means I throw in the towel, you are very sadly mistaken. I will spend whatever time is necessary researching and shopping to get my own good deal, thankyouverymuch. If it ends up being less of a good deal than I'd get with a man present, my continued self-respect in not needing someone else to fight my battles for me will make up the difference.

I like how both of the board feminists are using the "Your just being emotional" line of argument against each other to prove their points. Its fascinating how things turn out sometimes.
A message board is a place on the internet you can go to find out with anonymity why you dont speak more often at parties.

I send you maudlin reps all the time! I was gonna put in this big thing about how you're like a quilted bushel of apples, but it got all weird and cumbersome. I'M AN ARTIST, ALRIGHT, DON'T RUSH ME.

I connect the dots based on facts. Actually for a living and I'm rather good at it.

It was a pretty good study. You should read it.
