Canadian client calls me and explains that they have an issue with a "custom" program someone wrote for them back in 1991 to quickly enter physical inventory counts from their warehouse into their database.....

The custom program isn't a custom program it's a freaking data file utility that changes data areas with zero data checking.

Now I've got to figure out what file it was pumping data into, and then start sorting through the mess from there because it's 8 warehouses worth of content and they're trying to get their GL in order for their fiscal year end. WEEEEEEEEEEEEE nerd shit!

I share an office with someone who I can normally tune out... but is really getting on my nerves today. She clucks her tongue, taps her desk, chews gum like a cow chews curd, whistles, hums nonsensically, clears her throat a LOT... and none of this for any one reason. Just nonstop all day (at least until she leaves at 1pm).

She's totally nice, but it's like she's oblivious to how annoying she is.
