1st Person: You suddenly feel as if you are not yourself and every movement is of another's will. Cold fear washes over your skin as you feel your mouth moving of its own accord and words escaping your mouth of a foreign tongue. A few stilted gestures of your hand and a demon appears at what appears to be your bidding! A deep hiss enters your mind, murmuring, "You have sssserved well..."

(Sometime later the abyran'ra is killed, and Daarthiir gets ganked at the Luukosian shrine. Luukos rezzes him and he winds up in TSC. He pulls the knife thrown at him out of the wound and begins to form a ritual in the blood, and carves his tongue up. I wish I'd have gotten more captures, but here's a few)

3rd Person: As the globs of blood splatter on the ground from Daarthiir's mouth, they disappear in puffs of viridian smoke.

1st Person: Blood pours forth from your tongue as it throbs painfully.

(and a couple more 1st person captures as the ritual kept going)

1st Person: The clouds part above your head, bathing you in crimson moonlight as you rest your face against the ground.

1st Person: A sibilant hissing fills the square, rising and falling in time with your chants.

...And just to keep this thread on topic, here's my bard's updated outfit. I just need to work on his alternate (not-gritty) outfit during EG and then post that up too.

    You see Lord Evandre Solazo.
He appears to be a Human.
He is average height. He has tired, haunted absinthe-hued eyes and lightly scar-touched fair skin. He has chest-length, feathery whitish blonde hair cut in an angular fashion, the errant and unruly locks framing his face in careful disarray. A series of warding sigils and religious insignia have been tattooed, burnt, and carved into the underside of his left wrist.
His face is concealed by a coiled series of yellowed mummy-shroud wrappings.
He has a red-scaled dragon tattoo on his chest, and a rough bogwood pipe clenched between his teeth.
    He is in good shape.
He is wearing a black leather tri-corn hat set with a pair of foggy grey plumes, a fogged leaden glass pendant, a gritty grey-black leather jacket, a dark eahnor harp pin, an open-cuffed ivory linen tunic, some dusty grey double leathers, a warded ragged leather bracer, a heavily notched rawhide belt, a rusted iron spyglass, a low-slung leather treasure satchel, an absinthe-hued glass flask with a bulbous spherical bottom, a pair of worn-in darkened leather pants, a thin matte steel boot-chain, and some weathered black leather boots.

Pin makes unlimited: As you rub your eahnor harp pin, a pale mist swirls sinuously down your arm and coalesces into the form of a spectral harp with lustrous eahnor strings in your left hand.

    His sonic set:

    >tap long
You tap an undulating spectral longsword formed of twisting white apparations, which is in your right hand.
    >tap shi
You tap a ghostly lantern shield encased in a swirling light mist, which is in your left hand.
    >tap arm
You tap a hazy cage of ethereal armor streaming trails of ghostly mist that you are wearing.
    Thanks for sharing.

I guess I have a new found respect for Plat.

GoingGone's character name has nothing wrong with it.
Names should be as crazy and inventive as you want so long as they don't go OOC and fuck whoever says you can't spell it anyway you like.
I love your bones under the skin alter too. That's horrific.

The character name for Daarthiir was taken straight from Gemstone lore documents. It was the name of Despana's general. He was born on the anniversary of the last day the lich was seen (presumed killed) in a *highly* superstitious area (Trauntor, also lore taken from the documents) and was a sickly baby.

Presuming it to be an ill omen, they couldn't kill the child because if he was a reincarnation of Daarthiir it just meant he'd find another vessel. Instead they kept the child alive and just kept him weak.. beating him nearly to death regularly, scarring him, etc etc. Eventually he got old enough to escape, blah blah blah, and now loathes the entirety of existence with enough deep-rooted conviction that rather than kill himself he lives solely to spread the agony he suffered to others.

Eventually found worship of Luukos on grounds he suspects that it will not only let him spread misery, but that Luukos will reward him after death by dissolving his consciousness in his belly (ceasing to exist entirely. The thought of an afterlife disgusts him. His ultimate goal is non-existance, which isn't easily achieved).

    Another victorian-inspired outfit...

You see Lady Lithyia Medeea the Artist.
She appears to be a Human from Allace.
She is shorter than average and appears to be youthful. She has long-lashed brown eyes and olive skin. She has long, meticulously kept deep brown hair held in a loose chignon by some jet-inlaid ivory hairpins. She has an angular face and high cheekbones.
She has a tiny pave diamond stud in her right nostril, a trio of small spiral seashells peeking out of the sand tattooed on her ankle, and a tattooed symbol of Niima on her wrist.
    She is in good shape.
She is wearing a veil-framed ebony hat, a pair of tiny jet rosebud earrings, a sleek ebon brocade jacket with a ruff of crimson lace, an onyx cameo necklace, a scarlet satin hourglass-shaped corset with ruffled black velvet trim, a beaded bauble bag, a bustled satin skirt with black velvet trim, and some side-buttoned black silk boots with short heels.

Really? Wearing an hourglass corset? No, sorry. But that did make me giggle a bit.

That type of garment seems amazingly uncomfortable. I saw Mary Poppins after Musicallia said something even with the corset, but I still think it's a superkalafragelisticexpialadociously nice outfit!

Did you know that a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down? hehe.

And yeah, I cant imagine actually wearing an hourglass corset...must be hard to breathe.

BTW, I'm already working on my next outfit because I'm fickle...
