Working on Labor Day

Getting to work to find a swarm of applicants buzzing around my office, all desperate to explain to me how they want to work. Their only qualification is said desire to work, but it's apparently a big one. I hate it when we start hiring here. For every one position open, we get 50 applications, all of whom expect that merely showing up to apply entitles them to a job immediately. At least let me get a cup of coffee first! Damn people.

People should really be more concerned about whats going on in Mexico. Much more likely for gang activity to increase and put lives at risk here in the US than terrorism. I have family in Chihuahua (don't laugh personas) and they said things are getting incredibly dangerous.
