Not your fault. And no, it wasn't pneumonia. The emergency vet was an idiot. Took her to her regular vet as soon as I picked her up from the emergency vet, and she was gasping all morning for air just struggling. The vet believes she had an obstruction of some sort in her bronchi bifurcation, because even with a tube down her throat he couldn't get good flow to her lungs. I had to put her down, and will find out more after he does the autopsy.
I'm about ready to move too because all I do is look around and see her not in any of her spots and I'm pretty much beside myself.

Oh my god. The poor thing. That's why I said call the vet, it was getting too weird for normal irritation.
I am so sorry for your loss. I just had to put down my cat unexpectedly last month. I feel awful for you.

Thank you. Yeah I haven't lost an animal since I was a kid and I don't remember it being so agonizingly painful. She was only 2 days shy of her 6th birthday and she was the sweetest cat ever. I should've had 10 more years with her.

Sorry, diethx. I hate that you lost her after all of that. I wonder if something could of been done if caught sooner? Really, some vets do not know what they are talking about.

Because in 25 years of being a vet, and a good vet who I will still trust with my other cat, he's never seen anything like that happen from a dental/anesthesia. We both want to know what the fuck happened - whether she aspirated something, inhaled something after the fact, or if it was a complication from the surgery.

Well then, don't post and no one will get involved in your whine. Personally your thread amused the shit out of me. Having worked 70 plus hour work weeks, plus having done border patrols in bad weather conditions for periods of 14 hours give or take. Plus it being so cold my watch froze and eating a C-Rat that I couldn't get to thaw out while still on the move in said frozen ass weather. Diethx, I'm so sorry to hear this. They're just like members of the family.
Kuyuk, it's generally referred to as a necropsy and it's fairly common if the owner wants to know what happened to the animal.

Shutting down for the evening, got a call from a customer that's dead in the water. They run 24 hour production and orders aren't processing in one of their distribution warehouses....not my client, I know nothing about them. Sign on and see they have mods everywhere.
Currently working with them to figure out what's going on because I don't like saying not my problem or we'll fix it in the morning. Woo hooo!!!
