So, I just heard this...

That is not accurate. This isn't about exclusivity, it is about providing a platform for better RP. Hells, Japh is dating a sylvan.

Meetings will be held at Thrak's Inn, at a table.. look for Inurtia, Japhrimel, or Queleri. This is to make it easy for people to come to meetings and find them.

Granted, if any members win the airship and want to loan that to the enclave, I am totally cool with making that the headquarters.

If we get an airship we should take over the world...

I personally don't care for group spellups, or flat service events. I've ran infusion events in the past and felt dirty for doing it. They really do nothing but bring in warm bodies, and there should be more to an event than that.

I agree with you on the flat service events. On the flip side of the coin, I would like to get public awareness up a bit. So I have mixed feelings on them. Maybe we just offer spellups after meetings for attendees.

I have to agree with Evarin on the services/spell up's. They may help a little with publicity but I don't think they're typically worth the drain they cause the organization either. It would be taxing because we don't have a lot of wizards. I think it would be better if when offering Guards/Blurs/Spell up's we do them for free on Behalf of the Enclave and advertise that way.

I would suggest we continue to focus more on events. Maybe try to get an event a month in, they're usually a better draw, and than you also have more time to actually talk to people or answer questions. At service events it's too much trying to remember who you're spelling up, what spells they wanted, etc. Too much noise to really get involved with the people.

Now I'm much more in favor of your first suggestion, which is helping with guild skills etc. Here you can speak to people IC'ly, answer questions, and create goodwill by assisting in a much more accomodating environment I think.

How about a tour of the road connecting Ta'Vaalor and Ta'Illistim? There is a lot of ruins of Faendryl origin. I would also enjoy doing an event in Old Ta'Faendryl, and could aid in that as needed.

Anyone have any of the Faendryl-themed loresong items from H4H2? Could do a bit of a show-and-tell around them. The ones I can remember were:

a petrified asparagus stalk
a blood-stained piece of rubble
a smooth-edged gold coin

plus the ones that show people fighting the Faendryl, heh.

a pearl-set braided vaalin ring
a rust-pitted heavy gornar falchion

I think the original forehead jewels also had a Faendryl-themed loresong?

Various sorts of events seem like fun. I haven't had a chance to do anything yet, but I am hoping to come to the meeting this week.
