Getting my new mailbox key today, and opening it find about 10 pounds of mail.

Sadly, or thankfully, only about 5 articles of it were for me.

I got a call that my ex husband is hooked up to a dialysis machine in St. Louis. His kidneys have stopped working since Monday. There was an infection in his shoulder ( I have no fucking clue what that's about, something about falling at work) that spread throughout his body, even to his brain. He called me, but couldn't really talk, so his sister tried to tell me what's going on. I feel so helpless and I really need strength to tell Lala when she gets home from school. I swear to god if he dies, we will be devastated.
This made me more than frown.

Thank you. I'm really scared right now. We were together a very long time and although divorced, we are family still. All I can do is hope for the best, I suppose, and try not to cry when I tell our daughter what's going on.
