I would suggest going into your local Borders and talking to a manager. I did that the last time I had trouble with Best Buy's "customer service" in India, and she (the manager) got it straightened out immediately over the phone. I mean I dunno how it works at Borders, but i'd think it couldn't be worse than what you're dealing with now.

The long and short of it is that the situation was partially remedied over the phone. But I will have to go to a Borders around here at some point to fix the rest. Ah well.
