edit for Delias: See? Man that is pretty.
Two drunk women showed up and were stripping down to go skinny dipping in that glacial lake before some official looking people stopped them. That would have been...well, judging by the temperature of the water (collected some to drink), instant muscle paralysis and then drowning.

My son had a finger to the eye during his wrestling match yesterday. He has a scratch on his sclera which should heal up just fine. He has to wear this little eye patch. The college kids next door got a hoot out of it and dressed him up..then colored an eyeball on his patch..Such a bunch of goofs.

Sack up. If you haven't been skinny dipping in the arctic, youzabitch.

Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures to prove what a total bad ass I am, but imagine my naked ass and a river about 1 miles from the Bering Sea filled with ice bergs.

It isn't a major salmon run. And no king's have ever come up that river.

According to this document which may or may not have any bearing on the bering, http://www.pices.int/publications/sp...pp_141_152.pdf
the average surface temperature of the bering sea in summer is 6.6c at the surface, so like...44f. Pretty sure the temperature in this glacial lake, a body of water that consists entirely without currents and is basically the puddle in the center of an ice cube, was a little lower. I could be wrong. I'm not a scientist (fooled you!), but I was told that said water was just barely above freezing, like 35 degrees.

    I call shenanigans.

This was a tidal river leading into the Bering sea, so the average temperature of the Bering Sea means nothing. This was in May as the river was breaking up, so all the ice was flowing out towards the sea. I'd put the temperature at just above freezing.

But we had a sauna out there, which was our only means of bathing. So jump in sauna, jump in river, jump back in sauna.
