    I've heard those magic bullets don't really hold up over lots of use.

    edit: I'm about to go to the mall to buy a Roku. I'm gonna see if there are any stores that will demo blenders for me.

    We have had it for about a year now.. and it went through a summer of weekly daiquiris and frozen margaritas.. plus a metric shit ton of sno cones.

    It has two levels of blades which makes it chop shit into a fine, fluffy powder... and it was like 30 bucks.

    Yeah, i think I'm gonna end up just getting another sub $50 one. Unless I find a store that I can return a Vitamix/Blendtec to directly if it breaks after a year. I like that these higher-end ones have 3+ year warranties, but if I have to send a blender off for 2 weeks, I'm just gonna go buy a $50 one as a temp replacement anyhow.
