soo, one of my pre-k kids brings in two ladybugs today in one of those little bug carriers. After mom leaves he sets them on the cubbies, and goes off to do his thing. Every now and then, I notice him STOP what he is doing, and walk back to the cubbies to look in on his ladybugs. Later, he comes up to me and says, "ladybugs are hard work."
You tilt your head fully back and slowly begin to slide the blade of the longsword down your throat. You are able to take the longsword all the way down to the hilt before you must stop.
Very carefully, you then pull the blade back out without leaving a single drop of your blood on its sharp edges.

I get the boy every other weekend, and always get excited about what we're gonna learn.
We've been learning about vampire bats, and bats in general, and diseases that go along with it (rabies)... and we always do about 30 minutes of online video watching while he's here.. various music videos, or national geographic or whatnot, and we watched MJ's Heal the World video and we discussed parts of it as it played, and what it was about.. and I asked him what he thought he could do to help heal the world, and he thought about it for a minute and said Get rid of rabies and diseases.. and then later I asked again and he said plant trees and get rid of diseases.. haha
Kids are awesome indeed. Photosynthesis is coming up next week, along with more learning about the origin of the united states (colonies/louisiana purchase/etc). Kids eat this shit up when it's interesting to them.

Enjoyed some sushi today with a good friend of mine that I hadn't seen for a bit
Hearing Creed - One Last Breath and distinctly remembering being excited when it first came out. Also remembering a Pop-Up Video episode featuring it.
