And you're right- the privilege cycle is very real. My first tech company made it very clear that if I hadn't gone to a top tier school I would not have been hired. (Note that the CEO is a college dropout).

And if I had not already had a tech job on my resume, my current company wouldn't have even looked at me. And I wouldn't have had a friend who could refer me.

BS. You’re taking very specific experiences and applying them across the board while humble bragging about it.

If someone can’t get a job it’s usually because they aren’t qualified or don’t present themselves well or an unwillingness to move outside boundaries self imposed.

If you are a qualified candidate (good at your job), you’ll have no problem. People get hired all the time in tech companies with experiences different than your narrowed view of life.
