You on the other hand are not. You're willing to watch your country turn into a 3rd world shithole so you can save 20 cents on an avocado.

All your Democrat "for the working people" is virtue signaling bullshit.

200 billion of other peoples money for war:

20 cents of your own money for your avocado toast:

    No, you don’t get it.

    Let me help you.
Trump: Mexico and Canada will pay for the tariffs!
Neveragain: I’ll pay 20 cents for more avocado due to the tariffs.

    Maybe now you’ll get it.

So, if Mexico and Canada are paying for the tariffs, why are the prices going to increase?

Why exactly can’t Canada and Mexico afford the tariffs? They aren’t paying them, the American people are.

Jesus fucking Christ. Did you pick up the dumbass mantle after Seran has seemingly left the PC?

If a store can buy tomatoes grown in America that cost 1 dollar for a package, or buy tomatoes grown in Mexico that cost 1.25 dollars per package, guess which tomatoes the store is going to buy?

Since you appear to be the biggest dumbass posting on the PC at the moment I'll go ahead and give you the answer: they are going to buy the American tomatoes.

Now imagine each and every single product coming from Mexico and Canada having this exact same problem if there is a product available that doesn't have to pay these tariffs. The question becomes who blinks first: America because people might end up paying a little more due to less competitive competition, or the Canadian and Mexican government/economy/workers who are going to be selling less shit because they can't compete against companies that don't have to pay these tariffs.

And to make matters worse, the longer Mexico in particular allows this to go on, the more likely it is that American companies who sent their production lines to Mexico to save on cost might decide to bring those factories back to the US to avoid paying the tariffs because maybe it is no longer cost competitive to stay in Mexico.

There is an argument to be had that maybe, just MAYBE, the US blinks first, but make that argument and not "HURR DURR! AMERICUNS PAYS THE TARRIFFS! NOT MEIXO AND CANADAA! HURR DURR!"

    Fucking Christ.

I don't eat that nasty shit, so, It won't impact me one bit.

Also, California produces better avocados, at least that's what I've been told.

Almost like we don't need Mexico, at all.

I would hate to see the federal government have to sell the 640 million acres of land that they keep our natural resources locked away in. That would be a shame.

The American people wouldn’t pay them for long. Other countries that don’t have this tariff would step up to produce the same or similar product. Mexico and Canada need the USA for their economies to function way more than the USA needs Mexico or Canada.

There will be no tariffs though. Mexico already said the migrant caravan won’t make it to our border, and they committed to increasing efforts & resources to stop the flow of fentanyl & human trafficking. Trudeau called Trump to apologize for being a leftist Canadian bitch and will do whatever we tell them to do. That’s all we wanted. Mission accomplished.

The Mexican drug industry only exists because Americans have a huge demand for cheap drugs due to our insane lack of a work-life balance, poverty, and an inability to afford medical care that's not just drugs. Americans drive over the border, buy cheap mass-produced opioids from the cartels, drive it back over in the trunk of their 2020 Honda Civics, and sell it to other Americans for a profit. immigrants, who are largely FLEEING cartel violence, bring almost none of it. 0.02% of th asylum seekers detained at the border were carrying ANY kind of opioid, and most of it was for personal use.
the American opioid and fentanyl crises are demand-side, not supply-side, and the best policies to address it are those that address the root cause of the demand. support universal healthcare, mandatory sick and injury pay nationwide, and anything else materially shown to increase worker quality of life. that affects finance, that affects the economy, and it affects you. finance is politics.

Maybe you’ll learn something but honestly I doubt it.

Oh and added for good measure.

"70% the illegal weapons seized from criminals in Mexico come from your country. We do not produce these weapons, nor do we consume synthetic drugs. Tragically, it is in our country that lives are lost to the violence resulting from meeting the drug demand in yours." - President Sheinbaum to Trump.

You do realize it was The US government gave the Sinaloa cartel guns to try and pick a winner to the cartel war because they thought it would be easier to fight one cartel as opposed to several cartel. Those guns have killed politicians, police, military, and civilians throughout Mexico.

Wanna stop drugs? Stop the demand for it. As long as thereis a demand, it’ll never stop coming.

Do you even Opium wars, bro?

Keep believing the "it's the addicts that are the problem" line of bullshit. It's the same line of shit they used back during the Clinton era while they were pumping the market full of cocaine.

You're just going to have to mow your own lawn and the wife may have to scrub some toilets. You will be fine.
